Now one thing: I haven't received feedback for the last 3 posts I've posted and this starts to demotivate me for posting here.
What's the point for me to post here? Of course to receive feedback, either 'this is good, no changes needed' or 'this part can be improved' or something else. But if I just receive no feedback then it'll be the same as not posting.
Anyway, this is the first time I try to use many waveforms in N163 tracks. But I think some waveforms need improving. Please offer your suggestions.
If you don't know the original tune you can search for Himitsu Dolls on youtube.
Since everything is mixed so soft, my personal choice would be to use a sixth Namco channel for bass and use the triangle for percussion only.
Either way, nice job on this =)

This is exactly why I don't post here as often anymore.

w7n_mariohacker, you mind if I ask you a question or two? How long does it usually takes you to cover a composition, and how do you go about doing so( harmony first or melody etc.)? I try doing covers but I can never make any thing as good as this.

I'm just gonna but in and write this for you.
I recomend justing focusing on one thing at a time. Maybe with the drums n bass first because that'll help you get the rythm of everything else. And try not focus on details untill you get everything else down.
I just wanted to add that this is to be somewhat expected. People are probably busy with their lives and probably only want to comment on songs they know of. So it means that people on this forum also tend to post comments on popular songs (Mario, Mega Man, Zelda etc.) and that may be the cause why you won't receive feedback more obscure songs (which I personally think is silly, all kind of songs deserve to get any kind of attention). Anyway, don't let that go in your way, sometimes you get attention, sometimes not. You shouldn't feel discouraged to upload your modules here.
Anyway, this is a nice song

No offence, but who are you exactly to give advice?

Oh wow, I just realized how rudely I phrased that.
While I totally disagree with what you said, it's still a valid way to track and it works well for some people. And since we're on the topic of advice, let me post something that should help RedScarf and you:
Listen to the song on loop and see how long you can listen comfortably without hearing anything you want to change.
Most of the time, whenever someone posts a terrible module, it's either because they're new or it's because it's not polished. I can listen to most of, say, littlelamp100's modules on loop, no problem. Then I try to loop an unfinished song, and I get instant headache. It takes almost no skill to hear a difference between bad or good music. Yes it is subjective but you're the author, and it's your taste that counts.

Well as for me, I usually take quite long to cover a composition. Probably for a total of more than 4 hours. The shortest is [url=http://famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=5729]this one which took me 2 hours.
My (personal) tactics:
1, find a midi/sheet/cover video if possible, it saves work. In this tune(Himitsu Dolls)'s case, I didn't fiund one so I dictated the score.
2, listen to the tune for at least twice, then choose the style you want your remix to be in and finally start your work. For example, if you cover a song in Mega Man style, sometimes you have to add a harmony line even when there is no harmony line in the original song. Sometimes you have to compose your own parts of the melody(as in some character songs in my YuruYuri album).
3, always improve your tone colour. If you made some instruments which sound weird that's bad. Music dictation is usually not the problem--tone colour is usually the major problem, and the arrangement of notes comes next.
