This one of my favorite songs and this is a great cover so far.
There's a few things I would change. These are mostly aspects of the original tune that I think would make your cover sound better, but you can feel free to take them or leave them as you wish.

Make the riff on FM channel 1 louder. It's much easier to hear among the other instruments in the original. You might need to adjust other volumes accordingly.

Continue that riff through frame 05 and onward. Changing it to a simpler pattern like you did really takes the groove out of that part, at least to me.

Consider removing the note cuts in the bass on FM channel 2. To me it makes the bass sound a little fuller and louder, which makes the octave skips and riffs it does a little more prominent.

Consider increasing the volume of the melody at frame 05. It's hard to hear the vibrato right now, and the heavy vibrato is cool and distinctive of this song. You might also consider changing the vibrato to something like 465, making it a little wider and slower, to really bring it out.

I threw that all in with a few other small things to demonstrate what I'm talking about. FTM's attached.

I think the VRC7 "Thunder Guitar" isn't all that great, maybe reduce the Modulator Level or the Feedback to make it sound more like an instrument and less like static noise. Plus, a vibrato on the Modulatr might help

I just made some minor edits. Hope they help
By the way - maybe please name your instruments? ^^

more things, Changed "thunder guitar", tweaked volume controls, labeled instuments. Still not finished but It's close. (parts are based off of the Dragon's fury version of this song.)
