HertzDevil has created a modified version of FamiTracker that unites the instrument's arpeggio sequencer and the arpeggio effect, 0xy. The values x and y of an arpeggio effect will be input as parameters into an arpeggio sequence, so long as they appear in the same row. The values can also be increased by a constant. This allows the user to create very complicated arpeggios without the need for lots of instruments.
A demonstration (which should make things clear) can be found [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3MosPcxIXo]here.
Note that this works in the tracker and in any exported NSF file. Both the executable and the program and engine sources can be downloaded below.
You can also download a demo pack featuring modules before and after the arpeggio scheme has been applied. Obviously, the latter will only work correctly in the modified version of the tracker.
This mod, and any updates to it, will continue to use version 0.4.2 (though anyone can port it to more recent versions if they wish). There is no guarantee that the arpeggio schemes will remain in the same format if jsr officially includes it. If this is the case, HertzDevil will make a patcher.
Please read the enclosed readme for more information.
