I don't know why I haven't joined the forums by now, but I love this FamiTracker program! I've made quite a few covers (I think that's what their called) and some original songs too.
Here are a few of the songs I've made so far. I hope you like them. (I hope it's ok to upload this many...)
EDIT: I didn't have enough time to post descriptions to the songs when I originally posted, so here they are:
LocoRoco - Red's Theme:
No idea why I chose this to make, but it came out fairly well considering what kind of song it was. Original
Moon Song:
I haven't finished this yet, but I think it sounds good so far. (First time using the Konami VRC6 expansion chip)
Pocket Tanks Intro:
Ever played this game? It's fun. This song wasn't very original though. The original song is in .it format, so I just looked at the inside of the file to figure out the notes, so this one wasn't by ear...
Megaman X - Stage Selected:
I'm surprised I was able to do this. Mostly because I'd never used the Nintendo MMC5 expansion chip before.
Game Maker Megaman Engine - Wheel Man:
I was original making a Megaman engine in game maker, but started to turn it into a game (I stopped working on it now though). This is the song I used for the construction site type level (which is the only level, and it's barely finished).
Rockman & Forte - Stage Select:
I used this as the stage select music in the engine.
TrackMania Menu:
The menu music from the original TrackMania game.
Rockman & Forte - Cold Man:
I really like how this came out! It was hard to figure out what to use, since I wasn't using any expansion chips, and the original song was from a SNES, but it worked out fine.
Green Hill Zone:
I think this came out fairly well. The entire song was done by ear from a YouTube video :P. (The DPCM drums where also taken from that YouTube video)
I like the Cave Story Moonsong cover. The original's volume was a bit different on the lower half, but it really is nice, and you did a great job of recreating it.
I'd like to say something about all of the pieces, but there's so many that I'd probably be here for awhile. I did listen to all of them, though, and they're all very good. Please continue!
Green Hill Zone is pretty cool, although the rhythms in the intro are sort of off in the second half it. I know you're trying to stick to 2A03 only with that remix but I found myself wishing that you used VRC6, or at least MMC to get the two extra squares (so you wouldn't have to keep switching back and forth between melody and supplement)
