Hello FamiPeople. I finally got a USB soundcard so I'm back on action! Let's track some stuff.
This is a cover of Littleroot Town from Pokémon RSE, made with the N163 chip. I'm using a few of Zamual's instruments for this, but they are slightly modified. Huge thanks to him.
I feel frames 05-08 sound strange, because of the lead. If someone can improve it I'd greatly appreciate it.
Other than that, well, enjoy! I'll probably track more stuff soon, so who knows, I may even release a small cover set or something.

Wow, this sounds extremely accurate! In fact it might even be better than the original, by virtue of better instruments (instead of crap GBA fidelity) if nothing else.

I remember there being a thread on Sonic Retro about converting GBA songs to better quality by ripping them and putting them through a ripped soundfont. Can't find it though...

Not all the instruments are made by me though, but I get what you mean. I agree the GBA has a pretty crappy fidelity.

Doesn't work on Pokemon RSE. You might want to use [url=http://www.mediafire.com/download/n3ukj9y58exy5ad/sappy.zip]Sappy instead for this one.
There is a GBAmusRip of Pokémon Emerald actually. Look in the thread I posted.

Macromaniac: GBAMusRiper does work, I used it on Emerald. The weird thing is that it plays strangely on foobar2000, but the generated MIDIs have the correct notes. I actually used one of those for this cover.

To be quite fair, it's been forever since I last checked. Maybe over a year ago. So it's possible I've been out of the loop.
This was a great cover, I absolutely adore little root's theme! In my opinion it's the greatest starting town theme as it is both humble and aspiring, much like your character at the beginning of the game.
