The Kick Tom should have the following macros:
Pitch: | 5
Hi-Pitch: | 10
I personally use the following pitch macro: 3 | 5
but it shouldn't do too much difference...
However, | 75 is way off...
As for the regular toms, they vary depending on what pitch you start with.
I'm not entirely sure about them, but as far as I'm aware, if you start from pitches B-4 to C-4, the pitch macro should be | 10
and IMMEDIATELY when you get to lower pitches, you have to use a macro something like | 20
I'm pretty sure that's how the toms work, but I'm definitely 100% sure about that Kick Tom.
This is just nit-picky but I think you got the pulsate wrong (your 'Twinkle' instrument). Is it the one from Star Man?
Also, when it comes to leads, I would personally use 15 14 volume envelope and then use volume slides (Axy) instead of releases. Since the volume is not allways 8 (it can be higher or lower), 15 14 makes the instrument more flexible. Here's the thing about releases (especially in later Mega Man soundtracks). If you're using releases (if it's 9 / 8 and whatever the numbers look after this) you pretty much have to use volume F all the time because the releases will become weird. The reason the become weird is that in Mega Man soundtracks, the lower the volume, the faster it takes to reach complete silence (volume 0). With Axy effects, this problem is somewhat solved. However, I understand if releases are more convenient, but it could still result in inaccuracy (not allways but it makes it a lot less flexible). But yeah, if it is for the sake of music (if it sounds good), then there's not a problem. I'm just saying this because... accuracy... you're after all trying to use a specific sound design.
Other than that, there's not too much to complain about.

Well. Thanks for taking the time to nitpick! I really appreciate it.
I'll keep the tri tom advice in mind. I'm working on fixing it right now. Sorry that I was "way off" on a random guessing game. :P
And yes, that "twinkle" was from Star Man. I couldn't find a full pulsation (more than 2 pulses) so I had to guess. I did a lot of guessing on this one. And it looks like you found out.
I'm already working on fixing it. It should be done in a couple hours or so (I'm pretty slow).

mm5_retro.ftm is by me and mm5example.ftm is by HertzDevil.
Regarding my module, if you're wondering why the hell does most of my instruments start from 15 (including pulsates, noise and such) it's because I want to reuse the instruments in other songs as much as possible. And I also tried to make them more flexible in case anyone would want to use a higher volume than 10. Making the instruments start from a certain volume makes the instruments a lot more limited.
Anyway, my module is pretty old, I started with this like 2 years ago. I would say that Stone Man and the Boss theme are the most accurate songs simply because they're the latest songs that I've covered (which was about 2 weeks ago), but I'm pretty sure you'll get the hang of it.
Damn I really need to update my older covers, they're pretty hilarious in some places.

Holy crap ... just ... how do you do this? This sounds like it originated from an original late NES game. And you know - those are made by people that get paid for doing this.
Great job!
(Maybe cut back on the Z00 because the pop it makes may end up ugly ...)

It's all on the second effect column. Just hide it.

This is incredible. So accurate.
I have to ask, was this mostly by ear or did you break it down track-by-track?

I broke it down, all 8 tracks (yes, 2 channels are unused). Very time consuming, but I couldn't possibly do this by ear, as stereo is constantly used. That always confuses my ears. Even in mono, it's incredibly complex. Very helpful to break it down to each channel, and do one channel at a time. That is actually exactly how I did it, and it took forever. Seems like it was worth it, though. :D
