Hello. I'm very new at all this stuff so please bear with me. I've figured out the nuts and bolts of the program (I'm using the latest version), but there's one thing I still can't quite figure out. I don't know how to get complete independant instruments. What I mean is, if I alter the volume setting for one instrument, it alters the volume for all intstruments. Let's say for drum effects, I use a quick fade but then all my other istruments use the quick fade. I can get around this by clicking off the volume box for the other istruments, but then they just play their default volume and duration (with no fade). Another example: I have two tracks. Track A is loud and track B is soft. Track A uses a fast delay, while track B uses a slow delay. If I alter the duration and the volume of track A, it also edits track B. The only option I know of is to completely uncheck the volume boxfor track B, but then I have no options for any other kind of editing. This is for all options, I'm just using volume as an example. Am I missing something? Thanks for the help.
Hi, no problems for questioning. I figure it's a little though in the beginning.
The instrument editor is constructed in a way that it is possible to share sequences among instruments, but it's also possible to use individual sequences for each instrument.
Just select the setting (volume for example) and change the box right under the setting list, named "Sequence select". It's intially set to '0', meaning the first sequence slot, but you can have 128 unique sequences.
Actually, thanks jsr. I was just about to post this exact same topic when I was like "ehh, I should search first" and came upon this. You solved my main problem with the program.
