So I'm not knowledgeable when it come to anything electronic with music, but I really wanted to try to whip up some stuff with FamiTracker.
Do you have to hook up your keyboard to the computer in a certain way so that FamiTracker can recognize it? I have a cable where I can just plug into the audio jack and stick it in a USB drive and I have no issue recording something with the keyboard in audacity. But I have no clue how to make it so FamiTracker recognizes the keys.
I did some searching but couldn't really find anything, since I don't have a lot of understanding for FamiTracker in the first place. Any help is appreciated!
You will need a midi interface. Basically [url=http://www.amazon.com/CREATIVE-EMU-XMIDI-MIDI-Interface/dp/B000JLU26W/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1407365735&sr=1-1]this. Their should be ports on the back of your keyboard labeled MIDI IN and MIDI OUT where this cable plugs into. The labeled in and out are important, if you have them flipped on the cord it won't work. Also the audio jack only caries audio nothing else. This is the case for all keyboards.
I figured the answer would be something like that. Thank you! Just ordered one online, and I'm excited to start trying out FamiTracker when it gets here.
