I'm still working on it and experimenting (I'm actually creating a number of mixes using different combinations of instruments and parts), but here's a sample using just the three wave channels. Enjoy

Wow, this sounds really good!
I like the flute in Pulse 2 and the way you vibrated it.
The lead sounds good, too. Only one question - why isn't the instument on every line?
Banjo and harp sound fine so far, too. Only one thing: In the instrument window, the "Duty/Noise"-bos is checked even though there's no sequence in there.
And in the bass, there's a volume envelope and a duty cycle even though the triangle channel supports neither.
Just a few cosmetic hiccups, the sound is very good ^_^

At one point I experimented with putting the whistle part on Triangle and bass part on a Pulse (thus the volume/duty settings) but I didn't like how that sounded so I switched them back. Yeah, not at the final cleanup stage yet....

Because it doesn't affect how it sounds? Sometimes if I have a complicated sequence with a note on every row (like [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alberti_bass]Alberti bass accompaniment -- speaking of which, the version posted does that with eighth notes but an earlier version used sixteenth notes and it was crazy ... the good crazy) then I'll use the instrument or volume column not to actually do anything useful but merely as a mental reminder that 'these are the important notes' in the sequence. (In the case of Pulse 1, though, I actually did that as an experiment to play the same pattern twice with different instruments each time; the Vxx at the end of pattern 03 was originally an instrument change. In the process, I also learned just how Vxx and instrument duty cycles interact with each other.)
Anyone else feel like depending on which octave you have Triangle playing it seems to have three different timbres (even though the waveform is essentially the same)? Or is it just my ears....

It's not just you; it's how the filtering works.
I'll listen to this once I actually have headphones =)

And here's an MMC5 version with the banjo accompaniment. I'm currently liking the ability to import an FTM song into a new file (basically doubling as an export FTM command).
It has two songs, the only difference is the bass track (#2's bass track is more accurate to the original, but loses some of the song's frantic energy in the process; I need to add another instrument track to compensate).
Also, I may have lost track of my edits while switching between songs. It's kind of a shame you can't share pattern IDs between songs because there are times where I want to do exactly that.
