Mario & Luigi - Partners in Time.
I'm a great fan of the "Mario & Luigi" series - thanks to this game.
This game series also has the ONLY turn-based combat I personally enjoy since you have a fair chance of avoiding damage and you're in control at almost all time.
Back then (I was about 8 years old) it seemed like a fun adventure against wacky purple aliens but looking back ... SHROOB NAZIS MURDERING THE INNOCENT AND TURNING THEM INTO FUEL? THE-FUCK-NINTENDO?!
An amazing game, no doubt, but it had a really dark atmosphere and tunes like Holli Jolli Village or the Toadwood Forest are damn near depressing.
Now, what else than covering it in Famitracker? -^o^-
I used the N163 and loaded it with Zamual's exquisit instruments (with slight edits), plus a bunch of DPCM from different games.
I'd love to hear a little feedback.
Thank you for your attention and have a good day
- Alex

Zamual made the instruments for the N163 (it's a highly customizable wavetable synthesizer with up to 8 channels, but don't use 7 oder 8 channels because IT WILL GRATE YOUR EARS) and he's just dang good at making instruments for this thing.
The 2a03-Xylophone is made by myself, just start with a flute-like duty (V02) and then change a few times between V01 and V00, all the while the volume is quickly going down somewhat like f(x) = 1 / x (Add a little tremolo at the end for mini-echo)
And the octave changes (for some reason) from +1 Octave for one frame to the original [0] for two frames and rests on -1 Octave.
That's how I made a Xylphon sound. I don't know how it woks, I just tried until it sounded adequate
