I don't think you guys actually know what I'm bothered by (in which case, that's my fault) so I made this famitracker thing to compare side-by-side what my problems are.
I don't know why I called it "wily1problems" when there are only 3 different comparisons, two of which are Wizard Mans.
Thanks, MrKyurem! That's exactly what we need for such a comparison.
I've listened to it and here's my opinion:
Wily 1&2:
- 00: Something's missing, that's obvious.
- 01: Too many notes for my taste, it just doesn't sound smooth anymore. :-/
- 02: That, I think, is a pretty good transition. It fills the gap without interrupting the flow.
- 03: Just a bit too convoluted, same as 01.
Wizard Man [04]:
- 00: Straight out, I like this the best. It has a little bit of buildup with only one channel being the lead and the other one joining in at line 32 [hex 20]
- 01: ... ew. Nope.
- 02: Better than01, but still, for me 00 is the way to go.
Wizard Man [0D]:
- See above, I vote for 00.
