Some of you may remember when I said I was going to do a dubstep-like cover of "a notorious song from a notorious game by a notorious company." I kinda shoved that to the side for a little bit, but I'll try to get back to working on it sooner or later. Anyway, instead I have an original chipstep-with-some-other-genres-thrown-in-there-as-well song in which I tried making wubs with overclocked VRC6+2A03 squares. It started out as a single-pattern loop to experiment with the sound of the wubs, but then I decided to add an intro, then I thought "WOW I GOTTA FINISH THIS." (That was slightly exaggerated, but that basically sums up my process of writing original music. :P) Everything went all fine and dandy until I ran out of instrument space. Unless you use the 900 BPM tactic, making a bunch of wubs, along with DPCM-less drums, arps, etc. will probably fill up instrument space. So, here's my first attempt at anything xxxxstep related. BTW, that DPCM voice at frame 21 is my own voice. The next time I experiment with chipstep it will probably be with VRC7 or N163.

Just noticed this thread, decided it wasn't too late. This is EPIC! Maybe you SHOULD try 900 BPM, because you running out of instrument space is kinda odd. But well done! I don't even wanna know how much time was put into frame 2A! Also, I doubt that this'll work on a PowerPak; It's overclocked to 120 Hz.

I gotta be honest for a sec, this is the best song you've done so far. This is in 120Hz, but I'm still very impressed!
I personally love the sound that the 00C arps give in Square 1. Pure gold!

I don't usually like dubstep all that much but, this sounds awesome! The instruments especially are really well made.

a technical marvel, that's for sure. i feel the effects are a little intense on the lead at times, but overall it's pleasing on several levels, great work!
