Ok we are working on what will be a great RPG that combines two things I love... the basic layout of Zelda: A Link To the Past but set in the year 2138 AND child labor! Sounds strange but it is going to be awesome. We already have some decent dubstep names giving us permission but we need good CHIPTUNE tracks (we are going to mix dubstep, chiptune, rock, and some futuristic classical sounding music so there is a mix of music like in Super Meat Boy).

SO, what I need from you is three things:

1) FTM file
2) Permission to use it in the game and permission to use in marketing material for the game.
3) How you would like your credit (we are flexible with this and happy to promote your website as long as it is family friendly - or at least close to it

We really appreciate any track you can spare on this basis. If we use your song you will of course get a free copy of the game when it comes out in some format. We are going to release it on multiple platforms so whatever platforms make it easy for us to give out free copies we will do so for our contributors.

I'm giving you permission to use my remix of the chicken song by spitting immage here. it will probably be used for a farm area.
I can't provide any marketing material for the game for financial reasons, but I would like to be creditted in the game.

Thank you! Oh and I wasn't asking for marketing material... I was asking for permission to use what ever songs can use in the game in game trailers, etc. Thanks again - we will probably use this for a minigame within the game (like when the hero is in a shop where he pays to do like a carnival game)... either that or it will be village music for one of the villages. THANKS!

Hmm, 2138 and child labor? Sound's dark. Would somewhat dark music fit in well? I'm working on one right now, it may be of use for you, if so.

EDIT: Here's a song I've always thought would work out well in a game. You can freely use it if you want. Heck, you can freely use everything I've made, they're all under CC license. Just credit to CH3DD4R.

We will have use of dark and upbeat music. This game will be unique in that it will be showing child labor in a (mostly) positive light. Its kind of like the video game version of "Thank You For Smoking" but for child labor... if that makes sense

My music's released under the MIT license, so it's free to use for any purpose (including proprietary & revenue-earning purposes) & one can freely modify it to any extent they want. Just read the site, listen to the 3 OSTs I've posted up there (if you have Flash Player installed) & download the "project files package" near the bottom of the page if you approve (it's a zip file with all 3 OSTs in FTM format).

Just credit me as TechEmporium (no need to promote my website). Also, be sure to read the file credits.txt (some songs composed in the 3rd OST were made by others or with the help of others; the particular songs are listed in that text file, so please credit them as well when using those songs).

Also, I'd like to see some pictures of the game if you have any.

I don't have artwork right now... see we are a little developer heavy right now and as a result are getting game mechanics down before we have anything to show. Artwork is the big bottleneck in the Indie Game development community right now. I will update this thread when I do though.

BTW, all these FTM's are going to be useful. Even if it doesn't fit our standard areas we can always fit it in... like gorgon maybe we will do a dream or simulation within the game where it is 1138 instead of 2138 and put him in green as one of the more obvious Zelda omages.

Please keep the FTM's coming... I really appreciate it guys
