So my brother and I were watching the pokemon anime over the week, and since this is one of my favorite songs in the games (and to an extent, early episodes of the anime), I thought of covering this.
Some background about my desition to use sg1000 instruments: the first and only time nintendo supported a sega console was in 2003. the sega piko (which is tecnicly a beefed up master system made to compete with v-tech's v.smile console) saw a game based on pokemon. (of course, since we're talking about 2003, it was based on rooby/safire/emerald.)
so this is what the song would sound like if sega ported pokemon red/blue/yellow to the game gear and got uso kashero to do the music (his sister Aiana would probably do the graphics as she did with sonic 1 on the same system).

Yuzo Koshiro? Yeah, I agree. He did often fill empty channels with echos in his various SMS/GG works...
