I've recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate AIO x64. I'm not sure about the build but I think it's the RTM.

Anyways, I just loaded up one of my songs in FT and was devastated to find that it was lagging (quite hard). It virtually renders the program useless, since it's about music and timing is crucial. I tried setting compatibility modes to Vista SP2 (my previous OS) and XP SP3, both with no luck.

Is this a known problem and has anyone managed to get around it? Is this perhaps something that will be fixed in an upcoming version of FT?

I really want to use FT but reinstalling vista would be a pain (very, very much content on my hdd's to rearrange for backup).

I've got similar report recently, about problems with waveout under Windows 7 x64 in my software. I don't have neither 64-bit hardware nor Windows 7 to figure out the problem.

Strangely enough, it was reported that the software lags quite hard with more buffers of larger size than with just very few short buffers (2x2048, which is does not work normally).

I seem to have solved my problem!

I remember having Realtek's HD audio drivers when I used Vista. All it took was to re-install them in Windows 7 and everything runs smoothly again!

That's good to know. I am getting Windows 7 soon.

I don't think I will have problems of any sort, though. If I do, I'll know that here is where I will go.
