C-8 = C-0
G-9 = C-0

2A03, as well as any other sound chip, have limited range of frequencies which it can generate. Also, higher range means worse resolution, so while you can get lower notes very close to right (musical) frequencies, you cannot get higher notes anywhere near to right frequencies. So, G-9 is out of range of possible notes. And you barely could hear sound above 8th octave, anyway (some people simply can't).

icendragon probably meant that FamiTracker play any note which is out of range as lowest note possible.

Oh that way.
But let's say I need to use the following notes:

A, B, C, D, E, F, G

Can I do that on Famitracker?

Of course you can use any note of chromatic scale (12 pitches), but you limited in number of the octaves. You can't go very low or high octave. Usually there is no problem with higher octave limitation, though sometimes you will have problem with lower octave limitation on the pulse channels (you can solve the problem through transpose of whole track up).

Uhm that sounds like Chinese to me :p Sorry, I'm such a noob in music stuff.

Let me say it like this: I want to make a song which contains the notes a,b,c,d,e,f and g.
It doesn't matter what kind of octave.
How can I do this?

I think there are not enough of keys on my keyboard to do this.

Use whole lowest row of letter keys on your keyboard. It is 7 keys exactly.

You can play two octaves adjacent on your keyboard. On a qwerty keyboard, use Z-M (bottom row of keys) to play the lower of the octaves, and Q-I (second row from the top) to play the higher of the two octaves. The other two rows are used for black keys. If Z is C, then S is C#, etc.

You can see a diagram here:

Use F2-F9 to change the octaves in question.
