I don't really have much to say here. I just basicly joined for some help in Famitracker, but first, some useless backstory.
I'm Cheeyev from DeviantArt, and I always liked Dancoot1's Famitracker remakes of music, and I experimented with Famitracker a bit and I'm a bit confident that I can make a 8-bit remake of a song on there, but the problem is that I don't have instruments. I could make them myself, but that would take too long and I'm simply looking for a pack of Famitracker Instruments (Presumably one that he made, I guess) to use in my songs. Anybody got a idea on where they could be?
Honestly, it's not that difficult to make instruments once you get right down to it, unless you want to go for a specific sound, which may require a little more experimentation. But, since you asked, you can check out our "Post Your Instruments Here" page over on the Show Off Your Work section. There should be plenty of different instruments for you to look through and use.

Then don't use instruments. Right click the instrument window and just create new, but don't do anything with it. Get used to the blank instrument first and get better with effects

I'm looking at your avatar and I'm assuming that you like Pokémon?
I've been lately working an instrument pack specifically for Pokémon Gen 1, if that interests you:

This is actually a great way to learn how Famitracker works.

Eh, thanks.. I tried making a few intruments and they sound like a clone of Beethoven went horribly wrong. And there are so many to choose from.. Kind of overwhelming when I just wanted the ones that Dancoot1 was using. (VRC6 maybe?) God, I'm an idiot for not mentioning that in the beginning.

Again, it went horribly wrong and sounds like Crazy Bus, only a million times worse.
A great instrument pack!

"An excellent instrument Pack."
But thanks for at least helping me, I'll see what it sounds like and hope PaulMannIV doesn't hate me for using that.

Thanks, I'll see what it sounds like shortly.

Yes, I do like Pokemon.. I do Pokemon-Fusions on my deviantArt account, and i do mean real ones, not just simple masquerade things with baddly put on masks and changed colours.
But anyways, that's really impressive you managed to recreate the Gen 1 soundfont in Famitracker, but I don't think that exactly sets the tone for a song remade in Famitracker for me. Either that, or I'm too used to Dancoot's soundfont. And again, my DIY Famitracker instruments sound hideously godawful.
If you want the danooct1 sound then following Xyz_39808's advice is the best. Blank is life. That said, danooct1 uses snare and kick instruments, but those aren't usually that elaborate. Maybe add some duty change instruments as well; danooct1 usually has quite a few of those.
That said, you should probably ask him straight up.

Well, I like Megaman a lot, but I wouldn't say that danooct1 is similar to Megaman. I like them both but they both have sounds distinct enough that one can tell them apart.
EDIT: Well I took a look, and as of this post, I'm the latest poster in all 5 categories in the forum. =P

Well, I don't think I'll ask him, so i'll try to, well, do it by myself, if I knew how to make the instruments sound good...
If you really like danooct1, I probably suggest you take a look at Mega Man stuff (mostly Mega Man 3, 4, 5 and 6).
Yeah, I already listened to all of the songs before I knew about him.

Oh, well he sort of resembles Mega Man.. heh..

That's not what I meant, I'm talking about getting to know the Mega Man sound, how to create similar instruments to the Mega Man ones. Digging deeper than just listening to the songs.
