Well, when it is somebody's birthday, I guess they can play this in loop a few times if they really want to.

I wrote this for my friend Walex's birthday three days ago, and I have to admit I'm rather proud of it.

Uses the VRC7 expansion. No h/w recording yet, but maybe one day in the not so distant future.

I posted this on April 16th my time, so happy birthday I guess!

Your comment seems to imply this is a completely original tune... I'm not sure what the traditions are in your country, but this is actually based on a traditional "happy birthday" song (the original theme is pretty much played verbatim by Square 1 in frames 03 and 04). Just making sure we're all on the same wavelength here. :)

I do recognize the traditional happy birthday theme, people sing that song on someone's birthday here (not in my case though).

Yeah, I don't really get much time to compose or cover anything these days. Maybe in a little bit more than a month I'll have more spare time during which to make music. Maybe even host another competition, who knows!
