It would be so helpful if there were a way to execute tuplets without having to hassle with the Gxx command.
What I imagine is:
[li]Have the option to right-click a row to indicate the type of tuplet desired and how long it should be. (It shouldn't cross pattern boundaries)[/li][li]Then starting from the row clicked, the length of tuplet would be blacked-out[/li][li]Then, when you click over the blacked-out zone, you can input the notes in the tuplet, or change the tuplet value, or delete the tuplet, etc..[/li]

I'm not familiar with Famitracker's limitations. How practical would this be and if not, how could we implement something like this and make it practical?

Not gonna be easy, considering that notes are limited to ticks.

Hmm, yeah all the tuplets would get messed up if you changed the tempo or click speed... Is this possible for just triplets?

That's far beyond the scope of any tracker software, let alone Famitracker.

I've also been a victim of that URL glitch, several times actually.

I think it's a forum bug. The post and the link code are fine, but when the post is published it tacks on an extra famitracker.com/forum/ in the middle of it, giving a bad url.

Here is what I have with curlybraces instead of brackets
{url=famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=1883}famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=1883{/url}

Modern browsers tend to follow the trend of pretending there isn't a http:// in front of the URL, but you shouldn't let yourself be deceived~

I wonder which browser you use though (assuming you copy/pasted that link) Firefox is at least courteous enough to put a http:// in front of it when you copy it from the address bar.

YOU ARE A BUCKET FULL OF LIES

also, in my first edit, I used http: backslash because I keep finding extra chromosomes on the floor and I just have to pick them up

First, don't post unless it's related to the topic! Bugs in the forum software can be reported here.

Second, I don't think this request is particularly out of scope, I have seen similar requests before but I don't think any tracker software has this kind of feature. It would require rather large changes and the resolution won't be better than when it's done manually so I have no plans adding it either, but I don't see any technical problems.

There used to be an online Renoise tuplet calculator which would let you adjust the number of ticks, so it could be used for Famitracker as well. However, it seems to be offline atm. I'm sure a similar app could be made very easily.

One thing that could make using Gxx (or other effects) slightly more efficient is an effect preselect, which would enable you to type in a number and the effect letter would automatically appear in the column.
