I always wanted to cover Solar Man somewhat like this before, but didn't really think I had the skill to do it...what I would've LOVED to do is give it more of a guitar-duel feel, but this is as close as I could get without going into another week of experimentation.
Glad you enjoyed part of it--my goal with double song posts is that at least ONE of them is enjoyed.

Yeah, I immediately understood that you were trying to make a calm version of the song. The problem is that Pump Man is somewhat of a different song compared to Splash Woman, Aqua Man, Wave Man and maybe Centaur Man.
The instrumentation and the sound design of Pump Man is very specific and it takes you to a completely different setting than the other songs (we're not at the beach or the sea anymore). If I wanted to do a cover of Pump Man, I would probably try to make something more like this:

However, trying out new things is not a bad thing at all! But I'm just saying, keep in mind what kind of song you're currently covering.

"This ain't no beach, son." Quite literally the quote from my brother (he also mentioned that remix--which, might I say, the whole remix series is impressive).
I'll experiment with the next some just a bit, but I'm considering remaining in Rock Man 10 for a while--see if I can't get a few songs done in that one--maybe change the name of the thread when I get a few more done to match up with it more. My biggest challenges, at least for Robot Masters, will be Strike and Blade. As far as I'm concerned, I know how to handle Chill Man and Sheep Man. Commando and Nitro will take some learning, but I'm sure I can make something work out. Strike and Blade...the only thing I have is making Blade Man's song sound...more mysterious. That's about it.
Of course...I can only experiment when I have spare time, and I only have spare time when I have neither work, school, nor friend hangouts, so...my only hope this week is Thursday if I'm not called in.
