So I recently got FamiTracker and have been enjoying working with is so far. I've gotten pretty good (at least for having figured out much of this for myself), and I thought I'd share the my work since I started.
In order of attatchment:
"Title Music": This one, quite frankly, sucks. It was my first effort when I started after a quick tutorial, not knowing much about how long or complex a track could be.
"Maybe Boss": My first "Ok" effort. Here I used the technique of "hitting buttons in a vaguely melodic manner and it sounds good when played fast". It's really short though, didn't know much about frames.
"The Best": I though this was great when I made it, but now it's just sort of decent. It was my first "complex"-ish piece, I suppose.
"The New Best": How creative I am ... It was here that I discovered the magic of frames, and as such, this piece is much longer and more complex. This is where my stuff starts to get somewhat good, from my current position.
"Hmmmm": Yes, that's what I went with. It's not finished, because I couldn't figure out where I wanted it to go. It could've been good, but it just sort of died after a while.
"Final Boss": My most recent (read:today) work, and I actually thought i did well with this. I'm starting to figure out how effects and such work, and I'm getting better at composing in general. Melody inspired by a track from Mother 3.
By the way, some of the titles sound like videogame stuff because I started using FamiTracker to make music for a game I was trying to make. That's still a WIP(that may be finished in about 20 years), but the music has become a bigger thing since.

i listened to all of them in a row, top to bottom. Basically it went from you having no idea what to do in the tracker, filling every space with repeated notes when you didn't need to and not using any volume control at all to composing a pretty decent last track.
It seems like now you have the hang of the software well enough, and i look forward to hearing any new tracks you post!
I wonder if I would have recognized that whole Mother 3 thing you got going there if you hadn't admitted it. Glad you're getting familiar. I'd suggest as a next step, play around with effects.
I joined Famitracker not too long ago and i went through the same phase as you (kind of) the way i got better was by looking at other peoples songs. That way i learned effects and learned how to use other channels instead of the default ones. I suggest you do what i did.
I had a burst of ideas and finally finished that second-to-last one. Originally, that song was my attempt to layer different melodies together. So, i did that in an ending similar to the final piece in my OP. And I forgot to mention last time, the melody from the beginning was partially inspired by Crisis City from Sonic '06.

The last few aren't half bad, really good compared to the first one. I think you've done better than I did on the first few things that I made in any case.
I personally got a lot better making covers of songs that I liked from gameboy and snes games, and figuring out how to make things sound like they did in the song. That's how I learned to use effects and the like.
