They'll interact with other waves a bit differently. For example, if you have one note on 2A03 Pulse 1 channel playing V01 and the same on VRC6 Pulse 1 channel playing V03, then they'll try to cancel because the output of VRC6 is inverted. If you change 2A03 to V03, then they double the volume.
This can also be used for a gritty effect if your dutycycle macro for your instrument starts with 3 1 or more so if you repeat 'em like | 3 1
Yeah, like the others said, the mains use of 75% over 25% is different behavior with other waves. It's especially useful when you want to have your phasing effect with P81/P7F sound different.
