I was bored and decided to make a cover/remix of a track I really like from BomberMan 64 Second Attack. It is NOT 100% accurate. The track is called 'Mihaele's Appeal'. I love that OST and might cover a few others. I used the VRC6 and Namco 4 channels to achieve this. I could have done this without VRC6 but you know me and my sawtooth. Can't live without it.

Also as a Bonus I'll throw in another short cover I had posted in the doodles thread. In case anyone missed it. It's another N64 track from Goemon 2 The Mystical Ninja. The track is called 'It can go Underwater too'

Enjoy. And thanks for listening.

Really good! <3
Bomberman soundtracks (at least the ones for TG-16 and N64) are so underrated!

The only thing that bugs me are the note cuts at the last frames, you shouldn't make all of the instruments completely silent. Changing the volume to 1 (or slightly louder) or using volume slides (or both at the same time) would probably sound better, in my opinion.

I don't have anything to say about the Mystical Ninja song other than it's awesome
I really like your sound design.

Off-topic, there's a serious lack of Slayer covers out there. I've been thinking of covering a couple of songs (Raining Blood, Silent Scream and Seasons in the Abyss, but I can others as well) and I know you like Slayer, so if you are interested, please give me a shout!
Seriously though, I really want to improve and finish this one:

Man, I really liked both of these songs. I listened to the Mystical Ninja song before, the time you posted it and I liked it a lot.

The new song is cool too, I love the sound design and the instrumentation sounds really good. Maybe putting note cuts at the end wasn't the best decision but I still like it as it is.

Also, props for making N64 covers, these are really hard due to the abundant instruments in the songs!

Thx a lot guys, I respect all your opinions, but the note cuts will stay. I like them there.

You know what Warheart, you've been trying to get me onboard this project for a long time and I think it's time! I'm going to try to cover a Slayer song. I'll try to decide on one now and maybe start on it tonight.. I'm just a bit scared of the guitar solos lolol.

We need something to communicate with, because I want to keep track on what you're doing (and if we are covering the same song, we probably don't want to spend unnecessary time with doing exact same stuff), so I suggest we use Skype or IRC for communication. If you have Dropbox, please PM me your e-mail so I can share a folder with you.

Oh, and no problem, I truly enjoy your stuff

Great covers Fezuke! I really love that Bomberman track in particular.

Also Warheart, I'm interested on getting in on this Slayer project too (if you're ok with it)! I'll PM you my email.

You captured the feel of an N64 music quite well.

But, of course...

Your choice of execution for the percussion instruments sounds jarring when singled out, and bland when covered by the rest of the song.

Of course, I'm just talking about Mihaele's Appeal.

Yep I know. It's only been mentioned in ALL my threads. I don't care about percussions/drums. To me it's just a background beat to accompany the music. I know it's annoying to some of you, but I guess you'll have to deal with it, or write new drum parts yourself if it bothers you so much.

I myself have never had any problems with the percussions you use, even if they're always the same. To me it sounds good and that's all I care about. Plus, I enjoy your music a lot.

Besides, most NES OST's have boring beats anyways. Although sound effects was mainly the reason.
