Formerly "Slersifino." I just did this to get myself back into music; I've been in kind of a slump for the past few days. So, I challenged myself to compress that 14-channel song into 4 (or 5, if you include the DPCM). I was going to put this into the doodles section, but the original never got much feedback and it would be weird to bump such an old thread with basically a completely different song, so hey.

I also did this for arp practice and so that I could fill the "5" spot on my album, since the other version kinda-sorta belongs to my friend Philip.

So, feedback, yes?

I don't remember much from Slersifino but I recognize the lead pretty well. Loved the DPCM effect in frame 08. For the huge thing the previous song was, this actually sounds pretty good.

EDIT: Why 14 channels though? I remember Slersifino having 11, using the VRC7 expansion, unless I'm missing something.

It was VRC6 AND VRC7. I achieve stimulation by trying new things in Famitracker.

FT even inspires me to do other stuff. It also makes me happy in a lot of ways.

I think I'll check Slersifino again, I didn't remember that it had VRC6 enabled too.

This is really good! Thanks for sharing! :D

Off-topic, where can I get that hat?! I wanna wear one...
Or I probably should just create one in Inkscape.

There's a thread for it in the site maintenance section.

I'm loving your love for strange metre and metre modulation and such, L77. My only complaint on your things is that your instruments often sound extremely similar, and some of your instruments are a little bland.

There isn't much observable variation in your instruments, though I may just be looking at your hefty number of them and thinking they're all supposed to sound like different instruments.

And, well, in terms of blandness, I mean that there isn't anything particularly interesting about the instruments themselves, and they are even quite common-sounding instruments.

Though, don't take any of that wrong. It's still a good song.

Thinking of it, it really sounds like Konami music(like, on the Genesis/Megadrive). :o
That lead...

Well, that's my opinion... :s

Yeah, all those arps are just for the background chords. Essentially the same instrument. But how could I make these instruments sound more uncommon? I like weirdness (obviously), so, yeah. And of course! I'm not takin' it wrong.
