Yeah, it is but I didn't know beforehand. In fact, seems that I always failed to get the right color when trying to hide a certain part of a post (#373737 most of the time).

I would call it being constructive, since you pointed out stuff in a way which I thought was very okay and understandable. Yes, the instrumentation suffered because of limitations but someday I might make an improved version of the song. I think that's the sweetest thing I've been told since I got here. You are great too, I like your music.
The egg hatching sound was fun to make, I synchronized it with the original and when I thought it sounded the same, I saved it in a different file for later use.
I didn't really plan to make this song at all, I just listened to it on Youtube and decided to cover it, same with the Beach stage theme of New Super Mario Wii. I actually missed making covers, I stopped for a while because of college but I think I'm back, I'll make more stuff during summer (next three months).

Though, more on-topic, I think it would be more appropriately done on the VRC7, not on the N163, because of the aliasing on the N163 and the fact that the VRC7 is nice for very wide ranges of horns that sound only vaguely different.

I don't think so. Maybe if the VRC7 allowed more custom patches it would be more feasible. I could try making some basic instruments with the preset patches but I really think it would be hard to achieve a faithful sound (like the original song).
Also, I read your other hidden post. I think I'll check for hidden stuff more often.

Sweet! The DPCM was a bit of a struggle but I finally made a decent one. Just a few volume issues with it but at least it sounds good.
[How did I do it? Well, I took a new instance of FT, inserted a blank triangle note that lasted one second, then exported to WAV, resampled it to 44100 KHz and increased volume to max. Then, I exported the edited WAV (via Audacity), converted to DPCM in FT and repeated the same around 30 times. You gotta get a decent range of notes for this thing]
[Oh, and in the DPCM import tab, I decreased the quality to something around 1 or 12 depending on the note. This avoided a lot of noise in the sample and made it resemble the NES triangle]

Fantastic work on this. I especially liked the sneaky DPCM triangle samples; it really adds to the whole mix. And the Yoshi Egg effect is such a nice addition, too!
