Hello everyone. I'm new here and this thread will serve as a way to introduce myself.
I've been lurking in this forum for quite a long time (almost 2 years) with joining because I had nothing interresting to show to you.
Basically I was just toying with FamiTracker and listening to the songs people posted here, because I don't really have any musical skills...

But I somehow managed to cover the entirety of Dancing Mad, that I wanted to share to everyone!

So, comment and criticism welcome, and I hope you'll like it!

P.S.: this will also serve as a test to see if I know how to upload something on the board...

P.S.2:On second thought, FlavarDeixis is a bit ridiculous, just use Deixis, please.

For a first post, this is pretty damn good. However, I did notice as I was listening through several incorrect notes, of which I totally didn't actually write down or remember exactly where they were, cause I'm lazy. But yeah, they're there. Overall, though, damn good job. I like what you did with the noise channel, having hihats mixed directly into the crash in places. I may end up borrowing that technique for myself, with proper credit, of course.

Other than those few wrong notes, though, like I said, damn good job for a first post. You make me want to revisit my version of this song. Maybe one day...

Oh, and I guess welcome? Even though you've been lurking for a while? Something like that.

The fade on the snare volume in part 2 is exactly half as fast as it should be, otherwise, very well-done.

Great first post, and I love that male chorus AAH thing with the Pulse 2 channels.

I was just about to say the same thing about Pulse 2! This is very nice indeed!

This is great. It really is. It shows that you have a clear understanding of the instruments and effects, and how to properly use them. I've been around for almost a year (and lurking without an account for much longer) and I wish I could make something like this.

There are a few wrong notes here and there and/or certain parts of chords are louder or softer than they should, but that's not what bothers me. In Part 3, I feel that the echos are way too loud, which makes it sound wrong. Also the tempo in the ritardando-then-speed-up section in Part 2 (frame 14) is a bit too fast (I found F0A and F0B in succession to be better than just F0A).

It's honestly great. I want to see you do more and get even better.

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it!

I absolutely forbid you to do so...
...because it's not my technique! I also got the idea from the Novakord's cover in famicompo.

Also the fact you didn't finished your version (I found them while browsing the forum, and I like them) made me want to sign in and post mine.

Well, I found some of those mistakes, and listened to your critics. Here is a fixed version, though the strong echos weren't bugging me...
If you find other mistakes, could you tell me where they are?
Then I should find a proper ending of the complete version, instead of having it loop from beginning.

Finally, does anyone know why the coatlesscarl version is private? is there any way to get it?

Aw...he made it private? But...it was so good...why would he do that? Somebody ask him why he would do such a thing.
Speaking of coatlesscarl...earlier, I was about to make a "Oh, SOMEBODY watched coatlesscarl" joke, but when I saw that your version was different in quite a few ways, I looked the other way at the joke. Good going.

Small bump, because I basically finished the song. I added a conclusion to the song because looping back from the begining was a bit lame. I'm not completly happy with the improvised ending, but I can't do better for now, so yeah, I don't think I'll work on this module again.

Too bad! I wasn't clear, but in fact I heard about his version after he made it private. And that makes me want to to know what I'm really missing...

Pulse 2 pattern 00 in part 1 should go F-3 G-3 G#3, not A#3. There's a bunch of other little problems like that in the short beginning section up to 04 and a bit near the end of it but I don't have much time to check those out and suggest corrections.

There are other mistakes that I caught in part 2, 3 and final, but honestly it's best if I leave it up to someone who has a better handle on explaining note-related things and patching those up. I spend too much time on my own work just guessing notes so it's not my strong point.

(Also it's weird because Part 2 frame 1A is basically perfect and that would be the harder part to get right in #2)

My only major suggestion is that you play with ideas for making your dpcm stronger. The snare in particular is really muted
