The original thing was supposed to show off how I do dual-channel echoes while also having the second echo channel free for other things. I expanded it quite a bit and now consider it a full song, even though it's only 45 seconds long. It's a great achievement for me, since:

1. I'm not good at transitions, and I pulled off an okay-ish transition, massive thing for me

2. I'm not good at the type of music the song became after the transition, and I think I did it well

3. I managed to pull this off after completing a massive assignment for my high-level law course, and I'd normally be bummed out after such a thing, and only want to play video games

So, please, tell me what you think. What should I fix? How would you fix it? How many pecs am I holding up?

Sounds pretty good, I like how the portamento gives the echo a richer sound. And believe it or not, I know what you're talking about, surprisingly I came up with my best stuff when I was as tired as all hell!

I modified the instrumentation and a few cutoffs. The bass is now grittier, and the harmony at the end of the loop now sounds like it was actually done on another string of the same guitar. Plus, the beginning sounds a little less harsh.

Made it longer and did some small tweaks that I can't remember.

I'm still staying stubborn to my single effects column rule, so this small expansion was a little rough.

Oh and this was after going to the other side of the city by public transportation for seemingly no reason.

EDIT: Added toms.

IIIiiiii like it!

I should square a bit more, I think. You've done some stuff in there.

I had a thought, just now.

I completed an assignment for a law class, and just presented it yesterday, and everyone gave me a genuine clap, so I have no ability to do music at current(with all of my stress alleviated and no tiredness or highness to replace it), so if there's ANYTHING anyone wants to do with this module, go ahead. I'd love it if it could be expanded to not sound repetitive after listening to it for 6 hours on end. I'd also love to see what people of different tracking styles do with it, and what it becomes after mixing styles. So, really, please do something with it.

I thought I was alone! Darn, there goes individuality...

Sorry for massive bump, but I created another version of this song. Like any good song of mine, it is obligatory that I make a VRC7 version. I decided to base this version off of the pre-extension version.

Compared to the FDS version, it feels comparatively empty on itself, and I couldn't figure out a way to fix that without introducing the 2A03 into the mix farther than the noise channel. The guitar's echo is slightly fuller, and the bends sound more like a guitar bending. The opening bit sounds slightly better, but the usage of the guitar (which I had to do to keep the introduction of the full guitar from sounding weird) sounds slightly off, which, again, I couldn't figure out. The percussion is definitely more enjoyable and audible, and I found out a method of making proper kicks without pitch bending. I'll put that in it's own paragraph.

I found a way to make a proper kick with the VRC7. It turns out that it's pretty much exactly backwards of how most people do it. Make the carrier pitch one notch above that of the modulator, then make the modulator swoop in really quickly, as opposed to instant attack and fast release (what most do). Then do an equally-fast (or faster) release on the modulator. Speed up the carrier's release so that it'll have finished releasing already by the time the modulator releases, or, so that it's ever-so-slightly shorter than the modulator's release envelope. Reduce the modulator level until you have a kick, and now you're done your kick, just play around with it now until you have a sound you like coming from that instrument.

EDIT: MY GOD I'M AN IDIOT I UPLOADED A VERSION WHERE THE PERCUSSION WAS MUTED

EDIT AGAIN: MY GOD I'M AN IDIOT I JUST HAD TO MAKE THE BASS PORTION OF THE RHYTHM GUITAR ACTUALLY PATCH 6
