Yes I know it's wrong but FT doesn't handle vibrato in a way I need it to and I only got to this point after laying out the entire song minus vibrato.ASFGHFGJJ<> yes indeed.
...I also worked around a small problem I encountered early on because I was doing something stupid; See if you can guess what the problem was and how I "fixed" it. D:
Sounds like fun! I never heard the original but this is pretty fun to listen to.
I wish FamiTracker didn't raise the pitch whenever a vibrato is used. It's kind of odd, that's why I utilize vibrato instrumentation a lot when I need to use vibratos. Heh.
mother 3 music utilized the square generators of the GBA more than it used samples? distressing. That's the one thing I didn't really like about rockman.exe music ...it was cool but it just didn't push the GBA very hard
actually this particular song was meant to sound retro. The rest of the game soundtrack is pretty good for the GBA and, if I remember right, makes as much use of samples as humanly possible. Not quite as good as it would have been on the N64, but reused tracks are faithful to the unreleased game and they're well done.
Cheez, I think you meant this link here:

Listening to the original, I can say I'm very impressed with your remake. I'm pretty unhappy with FamiTracker messing up the pitch with vibratos, and there were some tempo changes you forgot to add in at some of the transitional parts, but all in all I really like your adaptation of it on the NES!
Why would I mean that link? That's not an example of the usual music of the game like we were just talking about.
And I don't think I forgot any tempo changes. Aside from the very beginning which was a bit of a cheat I did after doing a lot of work and finding out it was wrong, the rest of the song syncs up pretty much perfectly. It's off by something less than 1 bpm I think.
Oh, I thought you were meaning that the example of the intentional retro sound was the youtube link you posted. My bad.
Anyway I based the tempo comment on the youtube link I did post, where I thought one of the transitions (the one near 30 seconds) sounded like the tempo went slower, but your NSF did do the same thing, so never mind. I apologize.
