Hey! Since i finished up that null divide thing not too long ago, i've been tooling around in famitracker. Been listening to the tracks you guys have put up here, and thanks to that super handy nsf importer, i've gotten some insight into some interesting tricks and techniques used in some of my favorite ost's.

What i've come here to talk about is the single channel echo.

it's a wonderful thing, but is tedious to make. For instance

I set up my note pattern in pulse1, and leave the appropriate spaces for the echoes. Then i copy that and paste into the fds channel (i use it as a clipboard, mostly), translate it down a few notches, and then manually reinsert the notes into pulse1. Takes ages.

I was wondering if there was a way to non-destructively paste the new data into pulse1. Paste in such a way that the empty slots would not overwrite the notes in pulse1, if you know what i'm saying.

it just takes forever, and could be so much faster. Is there a way to do this that i'm unaware of? How do you guys do it?

Thanks~

There's Ctrl+M which pastes notes in but not spaces, which should be what you're looking for!

On review of earlier posts about keyboard shortcuts, it may seem that multiple, if not many, are not listed, so that might be why you missed it.

Or perhaps jsr corrected that by now and I just haven't seen a post saying so as of yet.
