This has been bugging me a while, but how do you make sound effects. The only decent thing I can do is just use plitch slides. How do you do things like noise and water?

Look at the sound effects in the original NSF file for The Legend Of Zelda; there's a sound effect for surf hitting a beach when Link's on the Eastern part of the game's map.

Analyse it with the NSF Importer.
