I enjoy making songs on FT. But, I have not discovered how to record lower and higher notes. I would use my keyboard, but it got moved a few months ago. I tried downloading a MIDI keyboard, but FT would not detect the input device. The only workaround is to make an instrument with the same properties but with +24 or -24 Arpeggio, but that would make the file larger, and it would take longer. Please help!

Use Num* and Num/ to change between octaves. Those are default shortcuts; you may define your own in the properties window.

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to request a hardware render.

You can also highlight a section and press Ctrl+F3 or ctrl+F4 to change octaves of what you already put down. Or select, then shift+mousewheelscroll

Optionally, for laptop users, use the Octave dropdown to brighten/darken the zxcvbnm keys:

I just rebound octave up/down to [ and ]. It's convenient and I don't have to go fumbling with function keys.
