I had the opportunity to compose the soundtrack for my friend's game 'Null Divide +'. Spent maybe 2 weeks on them. While i can't claim that the music will totally blow your socks off, it's serviceable.
Since it's done, i can't really take any criticism and change it. However, i'd be more than happy to hear people's complaints on any of the tracks so that i can work on those issues in the future.
So yeah, have a soundtrack and pick it apart, guys~
What do you think?
(In order, they're 00, 01, 02, 07, 03, 08, 04, 09, 05, 10, 06, for each mission and its boss, respectively)
Yeah this is alright. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a very respectable OST. My only complaint would be that you could have put all of these in 1 FTM file, and also I found that the final boss track didn't feel like a Final boss tune to me. Unless the final boss is a pirate, then I could understand lol. I felt Laser boss was the most menacing sounding track, yet still not enough for a final boss. Other than that everything sounded fine to me, no major errors or anything of that sort.
I really liked 03_contained. Actually I like a lot of tracks in here.
Good stuff man.

? i had no idea. I assumed the instruments would need to be congruent throughout all the tracks in order for me to shove them all into one FTM.
I'll look into that, that's pretty awesome!
And thanks, man! I know there's nothing astounding in there, but i haven't ever dedicated a lot of effort to composition or music theory. I assume with practice things improve. That's how drawing worked.
As for the final boss track, it's not a huge encounter, you effectively fight yourself. The laser boss is probably harder, all things considered. I just wanted some contrast to the rest of the pieces in there. It's not what i'd typically reach for when citing 'best final boss music' in gaming history, but it sort of fit the mood.
Yes things will get better and better as you keep practicing AND pushing your limits each time.
As for the one FTM for all tracks, at this point, it would be a hassle and could take a few hours just re-numbering the instrument column for all tracks, so I suggest you keep it this way, and also keep this in mind for your next creations.
Also trust me, I know you've put effort and time into this.

Gonna bump this with an updated track. After thinking on it a lot, i decided the final boss theme, while it DID contrast with the rest of the soundtrack could stand to be better, so i made a new one from scratch.
Some other places I've tried to conquer:
