Here, my best composition so far. I started this last week as a short loop, as I usually do when I don't have anymore ideas for anything. Days later I learned to use DefleMask so there's a DMF version too, as a Sega Genesis module. There are some differences between both, because the PSG chip doesn't allow pulses with variable duty cycle, but it's nothing too substantial.
About the FamiTracker version, the song is very quiet overall, because I wanted the percussions to be hearable, so you might want to raise the volume a little. I finished this module yesterday and now I gave it some final touches.
Comments, thoughts, criticism, anything is more than welcome since I don't make original songs very often and I would appreciate if you could tell me what's good and what's bad about the song.
About variation, well, I preferred to leave it like that, mostly because I sometimes screw up when I variate too much, but yeah, I understand what you mean. I left the percussions the same in all frames because I found it fitting good everywhere.
Well, thank you for commenting, I'll have those tips in mind.
EDIT: I saw your edit and let me say thank you again for the compliment.

Well done! I agree with Fezuke, it sounds like a hotel theme in an RPG. Sounds really good though. Sure, a little variation would have been nice, but it still sounds fine without it. As for the volume in the percussion, I didn't think it was too loud as compared to the rest.
Some other places I've tried to conquer:
