This one isn't part of the Spying mission/80s sounding songs, but this is a song I wrote for my girlfriend[Melanie] that I made it thinking of her. But i don't know if it would sound good for her. If anyone can help with making this song sound perfect, I could never thank you enough. I'm worried she won't really like it at all

There is.... Not much material in here at all. Basically the song consists of just Frame 06 with all the channels layered in and out over time to stretch it into 11 frames.
I'm personally not a fan of this style of composition at all. But then again, it's just my opinion. Maybe there's a few people who will heartily disagree with me on this. :P
As for the song, feels kind of empty to me. I don't know what to say. A bit too short to be in its own thread but a bit too long and dedicated (in my opinion) to be in the loops thread...

Not sure what emotion you're trying to convey to your girlfriend with this song...it sounds like a "sewers" or "basement" kind of level theme from an adventure game. If you're writing it cuz your girlfriend makes you happy you might wanna make it sound...happier?
Try something more upbeat and using a major scale, because I don't really see her feeling kind of happy with a melody like this. It's not that the song is bad (yeah, it has its use even if it's repetitive), the problem is that this doesn't sound like it would make someone smile.
Doodle around for a while or maybe wait a few days. Eventually a new melody will pop up in your mind and you'll be able to write it down in the tracker. Good luck and I hope you can write something awesome for her.
I'd have to go with Jimbleezy on this. The problem isn't the fact that it's not upbeat or using a specific melodic scale. The real problem is that he's trying to make a love song & ended up making a pretty decent cave/sewer exploration tune.
There are plenty of love songs that aren't even composed in a major key; an example would be Beethoven's [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mVW8tgGY_w]Bagatelle 25 "Für Elise" was written in A minor.
What style of music does your girlfriend like, Glitch_King? It'd most likely be better to compose something in her favourite style. Remember, as much as it is about how you feel about her, it's about her.

Great; just remember you're only using the style itself to express how you feel about her (love songs shouldn't be nothing more than a cover of something that exists, you know).
Plus, I'm sure the nervousness is what's really getting to you; it shouldn't. If she knows that you're into chiptunes & has heard your music, so long as you don't let your nerves cramp your thinking process, she's bound to be impressed.
