Lol because it's only been up for like 7 hours mate. Anyways, this is quite a unique, funky piece. I can't fully comprehend it yet, so I'll be relistening to it a few times. But yes, I do enjoy the strange specialness of this piece.

My honest opinion as to why some people don't get replies is the fact that most of the time those people don't really implicate themselves in this forum, they just pop by once a month, or even a year, and you don't ever hear from them until the next track they post. Notice that the people who DO get replies are usually people who frequent this forum regularly and comment/criticize other peoples work.

Give and you shall receive.

As for this tune, it's great. But that's expected from Bert. I have a lot of his FTM's and they are mostly all really goood.

Good work bertfm.

Good work bertfm.
People just commenting on the frequent members' uploads would be very unfortunate since then the new people and those who do not have the time to look through the forums do not get the feedback they probably deserve on their own posts. Maybe my opinion is like this since I do not upload stuff often and more often than not what I want to say or add to a post has already been mentioned or have become irrelevant.

I feel that it can be very frightening to post stuff on a forum, especially if you are new, whether it is uploading your own music, sharing your opinions on the latest track from a well known artist or giving criticizm to someone. For me personally that fright comes from me wishing not to offend, insult or in some way make the creator feel bad for any reason, therefore I usually either opt out to post in the first place or I carefully word myself and try to be as polite and clear as I possibly can. This could very well be the case for other people or that they just simply do not have the time to get involved in what actually happens on the forum.

I am kind of split on how I think people should give feedback. Rewarding someone who gives good constructive criticism is something that should be encouraged but on the other hand punishing those who have given lackluster or no criticism at all by not giving them any is the wrong thing to do. In my opinion you should just share what you have to say, if you have anything, to any person, independant of who they are, instead of secluding yourself just to a small group of regulars who just post on eachothers threads and not giving a damn about what is going on around them. I do know that giving good constructive criticism takes a whole lot of time and that it would probably take up entire days to give good feedback on everything that gets posted, therefore I think it should be spread out and go to the people that need it the most.

Okay, I am done now....

But this thread is not directly about that stuff, so moving on to something that is actually relevant.
hey, it's good

why nobody commented on this one?
Oh, I totally forgot to post my comment! I was writing one but then I must have closed out the tab and totally forgot about it. ;P

Ya, this is great! Excellent way to introduce yourself.

Great way to use the FDS channel! It is so much fun seeing it being used for things other than very complex waveforms so effectively!

The only real problem I have with the song is the 10th frame; I think the transition is a little bit too jarring.

Many valid points Curious, but I don't only give feedback to regulars though. I was just stating what I observed through the years. When you say: "those who do not have the time to look through the forums do not get the feedback they probably deserve on their own posts." See that's the thing, if you don't have time to listen to other peoples work, why would they have time to listen to yours? Seems logical to me, no? Also if they don't have time to give feedback, they sure as hell won't have the time to read any constructive criticism given to them anyways. For me, this doesn't apply to new members. I always encourage new members, more FTM's to listen to! And the world needs more chiptune artists.

Anyways, I try my best to at least say if it's pleasant to listen to or not, and to as much people as I can, new or not. It takes 2 seconds, and usually i'll be typing my post while the second or third loop comes in (If it loops) I am much more attracted to Original tracks then covers as well.

It DOES take a lot of time to give good constructive criticism, so I do it only once in a while to the ones that need it the most as you said. I also suffer of 'afraid to insult or hurt someone syndrome' I guess you gotta really choose your wording, it's tough.

Anyways, enough out of me.

good job, really nothing else for me to say but that it's a little repetitive, but considering it's only 2 minutes long, and it only feels like parts of it last a little too long, it's tolerable and doesn't take from the song, really.

It's kinda sad how these one-time posters and (often) noobs get practically no feedback. I was lucky I got such positive feedback when I posted my first song. =P

This song is real funky imo and sounds like it could be a stage in Mega Man-ish. Techno Man, anyone? Good job, by the way.

I finally could listen to this and I regret not being able before. Well, while it's really nice, it has some very small problems, like the bass. Sometimes a sawtooth wave isn't the best one to make bass because it can hurt your ears at low frequencies. I noticed that you combined it with triangle at a point so it was very nice there. Some arpeggios made me think "what's going on here?" like in frame 08, where Pulse 1 has a weird arpeggio that goes down. It's not bad, it's just a little curious.

And well, if you have more stuff coming I would like to hear it because this was pretty good and I enjoyed it. Nice track overall.
