Why am I the one who's supposed to take over with Famicompo? Says who I have any interest in doing such a thing?
I'm currently the one trying to put together an idea for a successor, but I don't think I can do it alone; especially when considering I want it to be done in a slightly different way.
And I guess people think you can host a FCM successor simply because you've hosted contests before. It's the "he's the guy that does the kinda thing" mentality speaking, mostly.
Someone announced that they're taking over for K-> and doing a new FamiCompo "in the near future" during robokabuto's stream. Didn't recognize his voice, but his english was fairly decent fwiw. Guess it isn't over just yet!
jrlepage is dire need of a lovely assistant! Maybe kfaraday or someone else (also me ofc) could help him out so he can satisfy our democompo cravings. :3
Now that I've given Four Benches more time to leave impressions on me, I'm more impressed with it. It doesn't immediately grab like Sans Deli, and certainly doesn't swoop as dramatically, but - like with Sans Deli and any good composition - it reveals more of itself with more proper listens. I wonder what a 30-minute 3 movement PanchoVeda 8bit Sonata would sound like. I feel like he's capable of it.
