I am not sure if this has been requested before, but since I cannot find anything related to what I ask for on this forum using the not-so-reliable search function I will post this here anyway.
I frequently need to change the volume of the Famitracker program in the Windows Sound Mixer because I usually go in and out of Skype calls quite frequently and need to change the volume so I can actually hear the people I talk with. More often than not it is .ftms I find on this forum I listen to, since I probably could not make music while talking to someone else than myself.
My request is therefore: A volume slider directly linked to the volume slider found in the Windows Sound Mixer. The location of the slider should be directly on the UI of the program, possibly to the right of "2nd highlight". This function would be very convenient when talking to other people whilst listening to .ftms.
I think this should not be the hardest of things to implement since there still is a lot of space on the UI (maybe I just think that because I have a 1980 x 1080 resolution). But if this had programmed seperately on every single OS I can understand why this would be a hassle. Since I have not had much experience with programming Windows applications I do not know how much work needs to be put into this if it were to be introduced.
EDIT: For the reasoning behind this request check my other post below.

You never explained why going into the Windows mixer to change the volume of the tracker is a problem and warrants a new feature within the tracker itself.
If there is already a solution to your problem, I wouldn't expect this request to be fulfilled anytime soon...

I agree with jrlepage here. Of course, I listen to everything through my turtle beach P11 Headset, which has two inputs. I can just move the slider up or down ( physical slider ) for chat and for game/music/whatever. Great headset, I recommend it. Each has their own solutions to the problem, and, while I think it would be rather convenient, It's very low on the priority list, in my opinion.

There IS a solution... kind of.

Oh, sorry. I guess I rushed my first post a little bit. Totally forgot to add that.
I just think it is inconvenient to have to click on the sound icon and then wait for the menu to pop up and click on the mixer button. After that, having to scroll to "Famitracker" (since I have a bunch of programs open at the same time) and then having to slide that volume slider down to an appropriate volume level. I think it would be faster to have slider in the program itself.
It is definitely not an important change that has to occur for the tracker to be functioning properly, it is more of a convenience thing that could be added to a low-priority list or something to that effect so later on it can be added to the program if it is deemed to be a good enough feature. I apologize again for not being clear in my first post.
Since I cannot predict what jsr is going to add to the program I might as well just post what I think should appear in the future, but I was not very clear that the thing I wished for was not top priority, fixing a problem and in fact was just a suggestion more than necessity. And once I again I have to excuse myself.

Wow, cool headset. I usually do not like to wear a headset since my glasses and long hair is not something that gets along with my Steelseries Siberia V2 headset (it is orange if you were wondering). My ears usually hurt after a couple hours.

If only that were moved to a more convenient place.
Totally forgot that existed though, thanks. It is a little better than the previous method I use since I do not need to scroll amongst a huge amount of programs to get to Famitracker's slider. :D

I agree with you there. back when I had my single input colouds, I had to do that to balance between voice chat, game, and famitracker, witch warrented me alt-tabing out of the game, witch took like 10 seconds, me being very vulnerable all the time, go to the volume mixer, and turn down FT, or turn down Skype, or turn down the game, or whatever I had to turn down to get the desired setup, and alt-tab back into the game, usually seeing nothing but my dead body. I think it would be very good if they implemented it, but I think it should absolutely NOT be put before 5B chip is officially released. That would be stupid. Either way, FT isn't designed to listen to music with; it was meant to make music. But I find myself listening to it anyway.

That's what a FamiNES (alternatively "NESicom") is for.

Oh, freaking totally! 5B is something that I am looking forward to be playing with. My little request has nothing on that beast!
Even though FT isn't designed to listen to music I still have a giant folder with a bunch .ftms which I listen to from time to time. I just think it is fun seeing the notes pass by as I hear the sound. It makes it much easier for me to analyze and also enjoy the music. Maybe I am just crazy....

No, you're not crazy. It is pretty fun to see the notes go by. The main reason I don't listen to FTMs just a whole lot while doing other things is that it eats up my ram and processing power like it's candy.
