FamiTracker
This is my first submission to the FamiTracker forums, and it's exciting, really.
And it's also kind of scary putting up my "source" file for this song, but whatever, I suppose.
Constructive feedback, criticism, and such, is welcome.
You exhibit a deep knowledge of the tracker and its effects. Honestly, though, this song kind of sounds like a mess, but that may be because this is not my favourite genre of music... But it's one of the better ones in this genre that I have listened to... I think I have to go-

I agree, it is sort of messy. I sort of saw that coming before putting it up, but half-dismissed it as a personal taste thing. But okay good, somebody else to confirm this for me.
Probably something to do with the volume balance, as I'm not fully used to working with more than the traditional set of channels. But I'll keep general cleanliness in mind. Don't want a mess, though I do like complexity. It's a lifetime work in progress I suppose. Thank you. <3
EDIT: Though, I'm wondering... what do you mean by genre? As in chip emulator tunes or as in this sort of fake trip-hop/alternative rock thing I seem to have going in this song?

I dunno, I really like it. It's different, and besides a few little 0xx effect's I found weird, the rest is really well written and I like it a lot. I just wish it continued a bit more, but that's just me.

This is very nice overall but needs more volume adjustments because in the first frames the arps sound very loud and they drown the rest of the channels. Other than lowering the volume of some channels I think this doesn't need anything else. Good job on this!

That was coming from someone who thinks that 3 minutes is short. =P But as Mr_Master said, a bit of volume control would make it sound more dynamic, now that I think about it.

Wow thanks for all the replies, mates! Alright, now I'll DEFINITELY have to keep volume control in mind. Though I kind of did want the arps to stand out in the beginning, since I liked the sort of screamo/wild/energetic feeling it gave to it.
Nonetheless, I'll make sure to experiment more with my balance--because relistening to this and comparing it to what I hear in others' songs and music in general, I feel a lot of bleegghh noiisee what's going on agghh in the first two "sections."
