Hi all,

While working on a cover of a space jam track, I decided it would be a good time to start properly learning to dick around with the 2 function in the triangle channel.

What resulted was the confusing moment in frames 02 and 03.

While they are the same notes, instruments, effect and other parameters, certain repetitions cause the 2 effect to come up with different notes than previously.

Is there something I've overlooked about the feature? Is anyone else hearing this when they play the file back? Am I just bad at math and should learn to use faster speeds?

Thank you for your time and patience,

Using 0.4.2 on Windows 7 Ultimate.

The first thing you should look for are any hanging 1xx/2xx/4xx effects that you forgot to cancel with 100/200/400

Other than that, you should post the ftm for better help

Are you using tempo 150? If you're not using tempo 150, this is probably the cause.

2xx and 1xx effects tend to end up at a different pitch at non-150 tempos because they last an unpredictable amount of 60Hz ticks.

Yeah, you're right, it would make sense if I remember to confirm the attachments to upload instead of just selecting them. You'd think I would remember that by now...

Edit:

Really? That might be the problem, then. Would this problem continue if I were to change the speed instead of the tempo setting, or are the tick counts squarely dependent on tempo?

Double edit: Yeah, that seemed to fix it. Well hot damn, thank you very much, slimeball!

Yeah, you probably want to use Qxx or Rxx if it matters what pitch you'll end up at.

Tempo now corresponds to engine speed Posted: 2013-06-11 05:44  (Last Edited: 2013-06-11 05:57) Reply | Quote
