I saw that today randomly and thought: the N163 only has 96 Wave Positions and not more!
Is that a bug or extra in the chip?

No, not at all.

As you can see, you have selected size 24 in "Wave size" in the Wave RAM Settings.

I guess that the smaller wave sizes, the more wave positions.

The N163 has 128 "slots" for save memory. A 32-sample wave uses up 32 of those "slots". So naturally the last position you can put a 32-sample wave is 96. But if your wave has 4 samples, then you can put it in position 124.
