Add an effect D00 at the final row you want for a pattern shorter than the others. The 00 means to go to row 00 in the next pattern, you can request other rows if you want to.

Another jump effect is Bxx, which lets you loop back to an earlier frame number, or jump ahead. Useful if you want some frames to be the intro, then tell it where to loop back to.
