These are (as you could probably tell by the title) hardware recordings from the sound menu of Mr. Gimmick!
Recorded straight from a 3.5mm audio jack soldered to the audio output on the expansion port. (pin 22)
Seeing as there is no ROM for it, no NSF rip, and no other hardware recording, I thought I'd take the liberty of doing it myself.
(I realize that due to the audio driver used in "Gimmick!", Mr. Kageyama was limited to a certain amount of available memory for the redone sound. Still, I think the whomever actually did the conversion could have maybe tried to minimize the echo technique and use Pulse 1 a little more often. [Once again, I realize that they didn't have much choice])

Then, I don' t take back what I said about being disappointed. For example, they could have used Pulse 1 to replace the Triangle's part in "Sophia". It also wouldn't have hurt to have not shut off the Tri when the song looped back. Some songs were just left completely alone (ala the title theme), while others were faithfully recreated (like Cadbury, Slow Illusion, and LIon Heart).

I'll presume that was a ROM. That's fine, I don't need a ROM. I've actually got the original Famicom cart, as well as the [url=http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=31&products_id=105]RetroUSB NTSC NES repro. Though, I don't know if I'm quite as crazy fan as [url=http://mikejmoffitt.com/images/gimmicks.jpg]this guy.
I've actually been thinking about building myself a cart out of a batman (because that's what all the wanna-be cool kids are doing), seeing as I now have access to an actual AY-3-8910 (yes, I'm aware that I need to halve the clock).
