Hello, I posted this once before but even though it was said that it could be added I cannot see it on the request list so I thought that I`d bring it up again (hope the you do not mind but I really think that it would be a nice feature for everyones benefit and pretty easy to implement.)
Here`s my orignal post,
I was trying another tracker the other day (Vortex Tracker II) and it had a cool feature in that it played the whole row, for example in FamiTracker both square, triangle and noise channels would all sound at once when you enter a new note in only one of these channels. This is great for hearing a preview of a chord for example.
I found it much easier to get a feel for what I was editing in this way as I could instantly hear what the whole row sounded like when it played in unison. Normally in FamiTracker you only get the full effect when you play your song and not when you edit.
Could this feature please be added in a future update, should be quite simple I think and very useful.
Look, there's a key shortcut that does the same you are requesting, but this might also be useful since you would hear it instantly without pressing anything else. This can be added as an option. All my yes.
I don't think Alt+Enter is as useful now as it could be, since FT doesn't keep track of effects and volume settings prior to the row you're previewing.
I would prefer it if its set to off by default - it annoys the hell out of me when I'm working in a tracker and I have to hear every note when I'm plonking stuff down.
Also, I forgot to say that you can simply turn off the channels that you are not working on and this will stop them from playing whilst you are editing. This can be nice if you just want to hear two channels sound together for example.
This gives you a simple way to enable\disable the effect if you do not want to use it all of the time. It is a really handy feature.
But I agree it should be up to the end user as some people do not like it even though to me it helps a great deal when trying to create my harmonies. I`m sure that I`m not alone in this.
I don't know what I should agree with and what not, but if it's made an option it would be better. Also, muting other channels would be useful too, since sometimes you don't want to hear bass or percussion at the time you are hearing your harmonies.

I like the way the program behaves now. It would be a hassle to have to mute and unmute channels all the time.
Please, jsr if you implement this, make sure we can turn it off!
