Converted by me
How to remove click (sound bug) with samples?
How to make samples louder?
How to tweak volumes? me tired enough. Selecting instrumets - boring.
I promise some professional to tweak my instruments .
But, performance still awesome, I think.

Is it truth that VRC7 can use only one instrument on all FM at once?
So I can't play 2 different instruments from VRC7 in one row.

How to remove click?

The click with the DPCM is something the original hardware did. While this can't be removed entirely, you can minimize the volume of the click by not halting sound on the channel, and not using certain Zxx commands. If the sample you have ends prematurely, then it might click at the end. You can use longer samples, but you should be cautious of the amount of space they take.

That's just a solution that I've come up with on my own, but someone can probably give better insight on this than I can, though.

About the VRC7:

The VRC7 can use different patches on each channel. However, this requires that you create an instrument for each patch that you are going to use.

If you are trying to play two different patches on the same channel, the most recent instrument with the different patch will override and play instead of the previous one. This also happens on the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis, which, I assume, you are trying to replicate.

You won't be able to play both instruments in one channel at the same time, but you can alternate between the two as much as needed. Just be prepared for the sound in the channel to switch each time.

I Forgot something:

It's a little difficult to get higher volume sounds while using the VRC7. Try lowering the volume of the other channels to even things out, for now.

About DPCM, I need only remove "---". Great, It works.

No, on SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis that not happens, just set FM channel on instrument what you need every time when you need .

Here, as I think, only one customizeable patch - first patch in VRC7 instrument settings. So, you can't use two or more custom patches in same time (one row in pattern). But you can use default patches. So restriction only on custom patch.

About the Mega Drive, I'm sorry, I didn't understand you clearly. What I thought you were talking about, was how you change an instrument in one channel, and it changes how that channel sounds until you use a new setting. This did happen on games with sound effects. For instance, Sonic The Hedgehog did this frequently. When you collect a ring, the new instrument would interrupt, or change to the "chime" sound to play the ring sound effect until it finished, and then would return to the instrument setting it used to play music beforehand.

And, also, yes. If you were speaking about the custom patch, you are right about everything you said. You can only use one custom patch at a time.

Glad I could help. By the way, this sounds good! It's been years since I've played the original, so I had to go back and listen to it, to see how close it was. Considering the chip's limitations, it's really close.

Are you new to FamiTracker?

Me just programmer, wanderer. It's just test .
Just want to share my stuff. Walking around chip trackers.

BTW: I dissapointed in DPCM. Even 33144Hz sounds like a shit, 'cause of 1 bit delta.
