FamiTracker for mobile devices? :D

Sometimes i just want FamiTracker so for the mobile when I'm not on the computer...
I work with FamiTracker everyday and i just want to for example: Make music in the breaks at the school but can't before i get home... It makes me sad and i keep forgeting the ideas i get at school... :c

But I'm not demanding you guys to make it mobile...

But i hope it will happen in the many following years coming... <:]

Famitracker is extremely dependent on Windows libraries, and porting it to mobile devices would require a complete rewrite, pretty much.

That being said, it is open source, and there's already someone in the process of porting it to Linux. Famitracker's licence requires forks to be open source as well, so perhaps when this port is complete, someone else could use that source to port the program to mobile platforms.

A temporary (albeit perhaps costly) solution to your forgetting ideas before getting home would be to get Sunvox for your mobile device, if it's available at all (I believe it exists for both Android and iOS, so the odds are you'll be able to get it). Granted, it's not an NES tracker, but at least it'll provide you something to write your ideas down, like a notepad of sorts, so you can just transcribe those ideas into Famitracker when you finally get to use your PC at home.

I doubt the idea ever entered your mind, but just in case, I would like to advise against downloading Famitracker on your school's computers, lest bad things happen to you. ;)

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to request a hardware render.

Thank you, Jrlepage. And thank you for saving me too... o_o'
I almost downloaded FamiTracker on the school computers yesterday... (But luckily, my school isn't so strict)

I don't think you'd be likely to face the sort of trouble IATM and his friend Wingman626 did, but you can never be too safe.

You could also grab an NES emulator and use NTRQ

Also, still laughing at that incident

NTRQ is a good alternative program... albeit slightly difficult to use, but no complaints. Also, If you have the appropriate hardware you can use it on a REAL NES (if you were so inclined).

ALSO: oh, god that situation... I'm still confused.
