Ok, so a while ago, I made a song using both the MMC5 expansion chip and FDS expansion chip. I edited it and finished it, and, about 3 days later, I opened the file and it wouldnt play. it showed a window saying that there was an unhandled exception. I got my laptop and tested it, I got my friends to test it on theirs, and nothing. It was the file itself. I descided that the problem was the multiple chips.
I was wrong. Today I made the best song I've ever made and was wanting to show it off. I re-opened the file, and it brought the error back. Im attaching the dump file that it exported. Thanks in Advance. if you need to see the FTM, lemme know.
EDIT: I have noticed that it is only only when FDS is involved.
latest stable release. I downloaded from the famitracker front page. 0.4.1. As a side note, I was able to play the song, but I had to go to the second frame, solo the triangle, play then stop, then play from beginning. I have no clue why it worked.
EDIT: Ok, so the problem is a parently the FDS channel, when i scilence it, it works. If I unmute FDS in the song, it works perfectly fine. This is a VERY strange issue.
RE-EDIT: Ok, so I have narrowed down EXACTLY what thing cause the problem; the Release note ( not note cut ) crashes FT when it is processed. ill fiddle around with the FDS insturment release value and see if its just my FTM
I OFFICIALLY ABUSE THE EDIT BUTTON: ok, so the files have [b]mysteriously[/b] started to be normal. I have NO IDEA why.
Hmm, since you're using the stable release and it's more of a fds problem than a multi-expansion problem, maybe this should be moved to the bug report forum. I'll give the ftm a try.
edit: Yep, the ftm crashed alright, then I reopened the ftm and deleted the note release on the fds channel and it worked fine.
