Hi there, I'm new here and this is my first post, but it's been a long time (like 6 months or so) since I've begun lurking in this forum. I'm posting a cover of "Unfinished", a song by KOTOKO (also the first ending from Accel World). I hope you like it and I'm open to criticism and suggestions in order to improve my skills <3
I'm not a native english speaker, so I'm sorry for any error or typo I made in this post :<

Nice, just nice. Liked the percussion, and how the bass sounds. I can't say anything about it, since I didn't find anything wrong, but that's considering that I haven't heard the original.

Plus, your english is not bad, and at least I didn't find any typo or something like that. English isn't my native language either, so we are straight in that one.

Really enjoyed this! Nice to see this song covered by someone (I quite like Accel World). Also nothing wrong about lurking, you end up learning a lot from everyones ftms! Like to hear more of your stuff soon.

Welcome! And YES! Kotoko! I was actually thinking of covering Ketsudan No Entrance, but I feel I would not do it justice.

I think you did great on this, my only complaint is that you used Volume F for the vocals (2A03 Pulse 1-2) When I feel B or C would have been a better choice. The rest is well balanced.

And lurking is exactly what I did before joining myself. Had to learn a lot of stuff before even thinking of posting something 2 years ago.

Welcome to the forums. It's always nice to see a new face around here.

Well, your starting post here is...how can I say this without having you freak out...?
It's REALLY REALLY REALLY good!

Oh, and the lurking thing? Yeah--I'm pretty sure at least half of anybody on the forums that truly get into it have lurked...me included.

You obviously have a thing with the program already and I hope to see many great things from you!

Thank you everyone! I put the track on Soundcloud and Youtube.
Actually I didn't expect such a positive response!
I'm thinking of making some original songs (covers are a bit boring to me)... I tried many times and failed (I just can't continue what I begin :< ) but from now on I think I'll try harder.
I'm thinking of using Vocaloid too, combining it with 8bit music is nothing new, but I think it's awesome. Thanks again!

Yeah, maybe it's too loud. Replacing volume is a pain in the ass though ;__;

This isn't bad. It's pretty empty though compared to how I remember KOTOKO songs sounding.

Oh come on....It's not THAT long to do, and if you used the 01 instrument only for the vocals throughout the whole song, you could always alter the instruments volume envelope itself instead of changing all the F's to B's in the track.

Or you highlight the volume column in a frame and then Leave your finger on Shift and just use your mouse wheel to change a whole column's volume just like that.

I didn't know that, Fezuke, but probably that feature will have to wait for me because my mouse wheel is broken. I need to buy a new mouse, and that sucks!

I didn't know that, and I now think I'm in love with you.
Joke aside, that's what I always wanted in famitracker, changing volume values one by one was SO boring.
Is that a new feature? Or I just didn't know something so useful?
Anyway thanks, really.
EDIT: I lowered the 01 instrument's volume as you said and it's actually good, you can hear the synth piano better. Thanks again!

You are very welcome. There are A LOT of little tricks like that to make Famitracker much less tedious.

Famitracker is exactly like an RPG. The more you use Famitracker, the more XP you get. The more XP you get, the more Attacks and Magicks you learn. You'll see that the more you track, and get involved with the forums discussions (Or at least read and try to understand them LOL), You'll be gaining XP really fast and you'll be like JrLepage, He practically never uses the mouse because he knows ALL the magicks lolol. I saw his sorcery! Friggin Mage Lvl 99.

All jokes aside, keep tracking man, I await your originals!
