Hello everybody, this is my first cover song and first post in the forums, ever. I've had Famitracker on this PC for a couple years now, but never really got into it.
I'll be doing covers of songs when I can get around to it so be on the lookout.
There may be some errors here and there with the timing, but the notes are as accurate as I could get them.

Welcome to the forums! Good to see a new face here.

Anyways, you are correct that there are some errors with the timing, but what's interesting is that most of the notes are correct. I think you have something going, though--you'll improve. Everybody improves with even the tiniest amount of effort.

What do I, personally, say? I say to play around with the program, look at other people's works, and see how you can implement and improve. Good luck in the future...now if you excuse me, I will get my revenge!

Pretty good for a first try, but the instruments are very blah here. Throw in some volume fades or something. Did the original sound have bass notes in there too? It sounds like that might be missing.

What I'm doing is I'm covering music I can play on the guitar. I play the song while I have a tuner hooked up to the guitar that shows me the name of every note. I proceed to throw it into Famitracker. It takes a while but, it'd take me FAR longer to do it by ear. Oh and thanks for the feedback guys.

alternatively you could use fret numbers and note values of open strings to determine what note is being played

since each fret equates to one semitone on a guitar :x

I think it would be faster to get a MIDI keyboard (I'm using an M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 and it seems quite good, though other people may have better ideas) for transcription, since then you're going straight into Famitracker with no extra steps
