Hey, everybody!

After about 2 hours of work, I've managed to make a pretty good cover/remix of the boss fight from Super Mario World.

The "remix" part comes in with the second melody. I wanted to do a completely different instrumentation than in the original.

Enjoy!

Good remix. I made a cover of the overworld theme a while ago, and I spent around three days working on it, but it didn't come out as well as this is.

This is awesome, sounds nice, resembles the original track, and has a lot of technique in it, and it's accurate of course. It's also a little mindblowing that you made this in only two hours. You did a good job.

Thanks!
It wasn't completely by ear, though. I figured out the bass and chords, but I had to use some sheet music for the melody. I was trying to learn it on piano, but it's too all-over-the-place.

After listening to it again, I can tell that the bass and chords were easy(ridiculously easy!), but the melody goes too fast to be able to guess. Whenever possible, I export every channel as wav files, and listen to them in Audacity(and then I guess). I think JCOM-SPC can do it, but it has a stupid glitch on my computer: The window doesn't show up, so I can do nothing with it but listening to the spc files. For that matter, I use Audio Overload, which is incredibly inferior compared to JCOM-SPC.

Here's a link to[url=http://jcom.shorturl.com/] JCOM-SPC. After you get there look for the JCOM-SPC tab and click on it. Some info will appear along with the download link.

Audio Overload can be found [url=http://www.bannister.org/software/ao.htm]here.

I recommend you use JCOM-SPC, but if it doesn't work, use Audio Overload. I hope these are useful in your future works.

Ummmmmm, almost forgot to tell that you have to download Runtimer from the JCOM website so it can run. It is located in the Coding tab. If you don't do this, you are most likely to get an error message when you run it.

Sounds rather more dissonant to me than the original did. Maybe it's just because the SNES instruments were more distinct from one another...
