I heard few of those songs, and at first I thought you just used NSF importer, but then I saw that some frames have wrong notes in some places, so I might believe you made it by ear. It's still suspicious, since it's very accurate, but still, you made a good work.
I'm sorry if that was a little rough, but it's always suspicious when it's a super-accurate cover of an NES game, but I think it's pretty well done. Did you made this by ear? It's wonderful, non-perfect, and sounds really good.
I have used NSF importer to watch how some songs work. I know it's a 900 BPM ftm module which uses only a blank instrument and the volume, duty, pitch, and all of those values are modified in the effects column. You cannot edit the module directly, but you can save it and edit it in any other version of FT. It once saved me of losing a module of a test song.
Well, he could still have used it, since you can edit the module and make instruments out of the effects showed there. Also, you can place the notes properly and adjust the speed/tempo of the song to make it look like it was made from scratch, although it was not. But anyway, this cover is good, no matter if he used it or not. I was just wondering.
[color=]Yeah, you are right. I also noticed that your version of [color=#ff0000]R[color=#ff7f00]a[color=#ffff00]i[color=#00ff00]n[color=#00ffff]b[color=#3333ff]o[color=#ff00ff]w [color=#ff0000]I[color=#ff7f00]s[color=#ffff00]l[color=#00ff00]a[color=#00ffff]n[color=#3333ff]d[color=#ff00ff]s(heheheheh) was perfect in comparison with the NSF, so I inmediately thought: [NSF importer]. His cover is not perfect at all, but I was wondering if he used it or not. But it's OK. At least for me, it doesn't matter if he used NSF importer to make this.

I think you'll find this has been done [url=https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34026765/smb/smb.ftm]quite [url=https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34026765/smb/smb_ost_1.0.ftm]a [url=https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34026765/smb/SMB_Pack_0.8.ftm]few [url=https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34026765/smb/smbnew.ftm]times before (unsurprisingly, considering how iconic this soundtrack is). On the one hand it makes the possibility of plagiarism slightly more likely, but on the other hand it's such an obvious choice of cover that it's easy (and usually right) to assume good faith. :)

Yeah. We know.

Now the question is whether you can figure out why.
